Reduce Device and Instrument Size, Without Compromising Power,With AthlonixTM 10NS Brush DC Motors from Portescap

Portescap introduces the 10NS brush DC miniature motor. Ensuring high nominal torque and high power up to 0.7W in a smaller envelope than motors with comparable performance attributes, these brush DC motors deliver spectacular speed-to-torque performance. This enables OEMs to build smaller, lighter, and higher performing machines and devices. It also eliminates the need to choose between compact size and weight, or battery life and equipment life cycle.

“As part of the AthlonixTM platform, ultra-compact 10NS brush DC motors feature an energy efficient coreless design with an optimized self-supporting coil and magnetic circuit. This enables the motor to maximize power density, while also providing sustained endurance over the life of the motor,” says Sunil Kumar, Assistant Product Manager. “This makes 10NS miniature motors ideally suited for use in medical and instrumentation devices including medical pumps, imaging collimators, land survey equipment, and security and access applications.”

These high power density motors provide maximum continuous torque up to 0.9 mNm to deliver higher endurance and performance while maintaining operational efficiency. They weigh just 16 g / 0.56 oz and deliver output power up to 0.7 watts.

10NS brush DC motors are compatible with incremental encoders and gearheads of various sizes and ratios to satisfy a wide range of application needs. They are manufactured in an ISO certified facility and are RoHS compliant. Contact Portescap’s application and sales support team to obtain additional specifications and rapid prototype samples.
